Singer-songwriter Emitt Rhodes released a self-titled debut album in 1970 on which he produced and performed on all instruments while at home using a 4-track recorder. The album was a critical and modest commercial success, featuring the single Fresh as a Daisy. It seemed a promising beginning for a young rock musician. However, Rhodes struggled to produce his next two albums before he abruptly stopped performing after disputes with his label, not releasing another record until 2014, 43 years later. He was featured in a critically acclaimed documentary, called The One Man Beatles, in 2009 which explores this rock and roll story. Just one of many that you can find in the Pop Up Record crates inside Sprinklz-Clinton.
